Florida Part 1

We took a road trip to Florida from May 11 thru May 18. The first destination on our trip was Disney World. Uncle Matt celebrated his 30th birthday on May 13th and he chose to go to Disney for the occasion. In Florida Part 2, we continued down to West Palm Beach to visit Sarah's Aunt Nancy and Uncle Marc. In West Palm Beach we also celebrated the graduations (college, high school) of Sarah's cousins Carroll-Anne and Tony. We were also able to introduce Charlotte to her great Grandma and Grandpa Ciminello.

But in Florida Part 1 it is all Disney. Charlotte was excited and happy during her first trip to Disney.

Taking a break and a nice picture with Nonna.

We met the rest of Sarah's family outside the Magic Kingdom at a restaurant at the Polynesian Resort where they were staying. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. Here Charlotte is playing and having fun with her Aunt Cassie.

Happy baby. Getting ready to go into the Magic Kingdom.

Birthday boy.

Charlotte went on her first ride at the Magic Kingdom. These next couple of shots are from the "It's a Small World" ride.

Nice picture with her Aunt Cassie.

Close up shot.

All done up in her Minnie Mouse outfit.

A picture of where Mommy and Daddy were married last year from across the water.

Family picture at the door to the wedding pavilion. The building was locked at the time we were there so we weren't able to take any pictures inside.

Disney can be tiring. Taking a little nap.

More pictures outside the wedding pavilion, just like our wedding.

Picture of Nonna and Grandpa with the castle in the background.

Picture of the three of us inside the lobby of the Grand Floridian Resort, where we stayed and where we had our pictures done for our wedding.

Uncle Matt sporting a birthday cake hat. Looking good buddy!

Uncle Matt with Donald Duck. The characters are a favorite of Matt's, and as we found out on this trip, Charlotte also likes them. She was fascinating with all of them and got excited when they came to see her and Matt. These next several pictures are from Matt's birthday dinner at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary.

Charlotte would spot the characters as soon as they entered the room and would stare at them until they got close to her. Then she would get excited and put out her arms to grab them in order to try to put them in her mouth.

Uncle Matt makes sure he gets the autographs of all the characters, even Minnie Mouse.

Charlotte was excited to meet Minnie, and Minnie was happy to see Charlotte wearing her Minnie outfit.

Chasing down Mickey to get his autograph.

Daddy ( with eyes closed) and Charlotte with Goofy.

Goofy pointing to Uncle Matt's birthday pin to congratulate him on turning 30.

Uncle Matt thought it was hilarious that Pluto signs his autograph by putting the souvenir book on his snout.

Group shot with Chef Mickey.

Reaching out to touch Mickey.

A couple birthday presents for Uncle Matt.

New Dopey shirt for 2010.

New Iron Man cartoon series from 2009/2010.

Cute Disney summer outfit and hanging out with Grandpa.

Nice picture with Nonna.

We were able to go to a Winnie-the-Pooh character lunch at the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom. This was definitely the highlight of Charlotte's first trip to Disney. She really lit up with most of the characters, but her favorite was Eeyore.

Pooh.

She was so funny. She was mesmerized by Eeyore and didn't want to let him go.

Eeyore is also one of Uncle Matt's favorite characters.

But he is pretty indifferent toward Piglet.

Tigger.

All that Eeyore excitement really took it out of her. Sneaking in a little nap at lunch.

Looking up at Pooh, and trying to grab at him.

Charlotte, Grandpa and Goofy outside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It's one of Uncle Matt's favorites so we went on it at least three times.

Hanging out with Grandpa and wearing her new mouse ears with her name embroidered on the back.

Looking a little tired.
