Charlotte's First Birthday

On December 9, 2010, Charlotte turned 1 year old. We had a party with friends and family on the following Saturday December 11. We were happy that Charlotte's Memere and Pepere were able to come down as well as her Great Grandparents Westgate and Great Aunt Sharon.

Daddy with Pepere.

Charlotte has become a real pro at walking and running around the house these days. Here is a little pre-party playtime.

Here she is joining the party in her beautiful birthday dress from her Nonna and Grandpa.

Nice picture with her Nonna.

Hanging out with Pepere and Grandpa.

Sarah made Charlotte a pink strawberry cake with the Mickey candle on top.

And some cupcakes.

All Charlotte's presents.

Charlotte loves her Aunt Cassie.

And her silly Uncle Nathan.

Spending some quality time with her Great Aunt Sharon.

Grabbing a drink from her Great Nana and Great Papa.

Charlotte cooperated briefly when it came time to open her presents.

Sitting with Daddy while Mommy opens more presents.

Charlotte is always affectionate toward her toys, including this giant gorilla from her Uncle Nathan.

When it came time for cake, Charlotte didn't hesitate to dig right in with her hands.

She likes sharing her food with Daddy and her birthday cake was no exception.

Hanging out with Daddy.

Playing with the low hanging Christmas ornaments after her party and looking cute while doing it.

October

In the last few months Charlotte has come a long way. In addition to growing and learning to sit on her own, she has learned how to stand up. It won't be long before she starts walking on her own.

Charlotte loves her Mickey Mouse pajamas. She rarely wears them because she prefers to carry them around with her everywhere she goes.

Charlotte dressed as Tinker Bell for Halloween. This picture is a little out of order. Many more pictures of that below.

Before Halloween, we tried to get Charlotte into the spirit by picking out some pumpkins. She was not a huge fan at first, but quickly calmed down and had fun.

Excited.

This is a funny expression.

More standing and trying to get to things she's not supposed to play with.

Nice pose.

Being silly at meal time.

Many more pictures of Charlotte in her Tinker Bell costume for her first Halloween.

Nice picture with her Nonna.

There was trick-or-treating set up on the walking path around one of the ponds in our neighborhood, so we paraded Charlotte around for a little bit.
